How Your Glassblowing Team Experience Works

This is not a sit-and-watch demo. Every person in your group gathers molten glass, shapes it at the torch,
and walks away with a finished piece they helped create.

Step 1
Arrive, Gear Up, And Tour The Studio

When your team arrives, we go over safety, gear everyone up with eyewear, and give a quick tour of our
working glassblowing studio so people can see the tools, torches, and finished pieces in action.

Step 2
Learn The Basics With A Live Demo

Our instructors demonstrate how to work with borosilicate glass, control the flame,
and shape simple forms. Everyone can ask questions, laugh, and shake off the nerves before they step in.

Step 3
Create, Coach, And Level Up Together

Each person moves to their own torch station and works through the same challenges together.
Your team learns to listen, communicate, and coach each other through the tricky parts,
then leaves with finished glass art and shared memories from your “glassblowing near me” adventure.

Why Glassblowing Is Next-Level Team Building

Glassblowing is intense, creative, and a little outside most comfort zones,
which makes it perfect for team building. It is real problem solving,
not another icebreaker worksheet or trust fall exercise.

  • Shared Challenge: Everyone faces the same flame, the same molten glass, and has to figure it out together.
  • Communication In Real Time: Teammates coach each other as they work, which translates back to the workplace.
  • Creativity Unlocked: Even people who say they are not artistic surprise themselves when they see what they made.
  • Lasting Reminder: Each person takes home their own glass piece as a physical reminder of the experience.
  • Unique Environment: Your team gets off screens and into a real working studio with torches, color, and fire everywhere.

This is the kind of “glassblowing near me” experience that people talk about long after the workshop is over.

Team Building Glassblowing FAQ

How Many People Can We Bring?

Team building groups are for 4 to 8 people. This keeps everyone safe and gives each person
plenty of time at the torch. For larger groups, reach out and we can talk about custom options.

How Long Is The Workshop?

The team building session is a four hour class. This gives enough time for introductions, safety,
demos, hands-on work, and wrap-up without burning people out.

Do We Need Any Experience?

No experience is required. This class is designed for beginners and we have trained more
than forty new glassblowers in this space. We guide your team every step of the way.

What Should We Wear?

Think comfort and safety. Closed-toed shoes, no loose clothing, and layers are best.
It can feel warm near the torches and cooler away from them.

Can We Bring Food Or Drinks?

We provide water and have a snack machine on site. If you want to bring in food or
coordinate catering for your team, just talk with us ahead of time so we can plan space.

Can Friends Or Family Watch?

For safety reasons and space, we keep the working area limited to students only.
Spectators are not allowed in the class area during the workshop.
