I’m Nickolas Shimkus and in early 2021 I was lucky enough to find Elev8 Premier. My glassblowing journey quickly went from renting a spot day to day to melting glass full time. As a beginner, the opportunity to be learning new things behind the torch every day is something I couldn’t pass up. Being welcomed into such a tight community of people has been a wonderful experience.

Since I stepped foot into Elev8 Premier for my first lesson, I knew I wanted to be playing with fire for the rest of my life. My passion for the craft grows every day.

This place has become my second home and without it, I would still be looking for what’s next.

Instead, I wake up every day excited about what I know is coming.
